Details
& Restrictions: Powerland does not recycle for free:
- any computer or computer equipment that has been picked over by
a 3rd party.
- any computer or computer equipment that has been deliberately
rendered un-useable. ---(eg. cut monitor cables, removing vital
components....)
-when
the equipment has been sorted and the better equipment is given
to another organization, and the inferior or non working items are
brought to Powerland.
It
is Powerland recycling policy and strategy to whenever possible
re-use.

schedule larger deliveries.
Powerland will pick up customer's computer(s) for a fee.
Computers stripped of value by a third party and/or where a third
party has been compensated for work surrounding the removal and/or
recycling of the computers will be subject to a recycling fee.
What
happens to the computers: Most items are broken down and
separated into raw metals and compounds that are to be reused in
manufacturing. The plastics and glass cannot be recycled and will
end up in a landfill. Powerland is currently in discussions with
several Manitoba companies to explore recycling options for these
materials.
